Assessment of Knowledge about Halitosis and its Management Amongst Fresh Medical Graduates in Lahore, A Survey

Introduction: The origin of halitosis comes from the Latin word "Halitus" meaning 'breath, exhaled air.' Halitosis is an unpleasant odour in breathing, also known by name bad breath. purpose this research to evaluate level knowledge fresh medical graduates and their management skills towards halitosis. Methods & Materials: A questionnaire was designed collect required information graduates. duration study 6 months January 2020 June 2020. Study conducted on private public sector across Lahore visiting dental Outpatient Department Institute Dentistry, CMH Medical College Results: sample comprised 59.3% females 40.7% males. Astonishing, 71.4% did not treat amongst patients for treatment whilst 28.6% provided Surprisingly, only doctors treated oral malodour. Alarmingly 71% doctor whopping 95.2 % blamed poor hygiene biggest cause Stagnation food secured 2nd place with 70% followed chronic periodontal disease at 64.8%. 0.4% mentioned that eating Garlic/raw considered as a least reason Discussion: Conclusion: prevalent among treatment.
